Ronan: Yeah…We’ve worked a few times together. It’s funny that I’ve listen to her music since I was a kid. In my brothers bedroom there were posters of her on the wall everywhere.  He had a crush on her.(laugh)!

 

Schweizer  Illustrierte: Have you already done some ice skating?

 

Ronan: Fortunatly I just have to sing at Art on Ice. I was ice skating a few times with my kids. But when I’m honest my talent is very limited. I let the Swiss Stars doing that.

Ronan:Yes exactly. I have got to know her at the Credit Suisse Sports Awards recently. She I really great.

 

Schweizer  Illustrierte:You are regarded as a big family man. How much do you miss your children when you’re on the road?

 

Ronan:It’s terrible. In former times I was on tour 300 days a year. Now I’m still 100 til 150 days a year on the road. I try to make short travels so that I can be home as much as possible.

 

Schweizer  Illustrierte:Apart from your music career you turn to your cancer foundation.

 

Ronan:Yeah this work is very important to me. Ten years ago my mother Marie died from breast cancer.  After her death my siblings and I founded the Marie Keating Foundation. We inform people about prevention and how you can realize and recognize your disease. It’s great what we can reach.

 

Schweizer  Illustrierte:What is the most beautiful compliment you’ve ever get?

 

Ronan: That I’m a frank person and not someone who plays something to someone.

 

Schweizer  Illustrierte:What would you do when you could be invisible?

 

Ronan:I would check  the White House and look what’s going on there.

Ronan:No I’m religious. Superstition would be a contradiction to my faith.

Ronan:Can’t sleep well when I’m under stress. But the worst thing is when my kids are ill. Then I get no sleep at all.

Ronan:I would like to be a little bit bigger.

Ronan:No… I’d be happy when I’m don’t care about that. Unfortunately it still hurts.

Ronan:For a long time I had trouble with my former manager Louis Walsh. But we’ve made it up. I’m delighted about that.

 

Schweizer  Illustrierte:What mistake you would like to undo?

 

Ronan:Mistakes turn us into the people who we are today. The most important thing is that we learn from that and avoid to make the same mistake.

Ronan:Life is a rollercoaster.
