Le Matin Bleu
Les pirouettes des vice-champions d'Europe Sarah Meier ou Stéphane Lambiel seront accompagnées en musique par Kim Wilde et Ronan Keating. L'ex-membre du groupe Boyzone, auteur des tubes «Tomorrow Never Comes» et «When You Say Nothing At All», évoque pour «Le Matin Bleu» sa relation avec le sport, la reformation du boys band qui l'a fait connaître, ainsi que ses projets solos.
Quel est votre rôle à Art On Ice?
Je fais une performance avec Sarah Meier; elle patine pendant que je chante. J'aime beaucoup l'élégance du patinage, c'est très gracieux et cela se mélange bien avec ma musique. C'est aussi pour cela que le projet d'Art On Ice me plaît: ce n'est pas moi mais le patinage qui est au centre de l'attention.
Aimez-vous le sport en général?
Oui, je pratique beaucoup le golf. J'ai la chance de vivre près d'un très beau parcours et j'y vais aussi souvent que possible. Sinon, j'aime beaucoup le football, surtout anglais. Je suis fan de l'équipe londonienne d'Arsenal alors que mon fils adore Manchester United. Je peux vous dire que les jours de matches sont parfois tendus dans la famille Keating!
Quels sont vos projets musicaux?
En juin, je pars en tournée pendant un mois avec Boyzone!
N'étiez-vous pas fâchés?
Nous avions quelques problèmes, mais de l'eau a coulé sous les ponts et je me réjouis de retrouver les autres membres. Ce sera une séquence nostalgie.
Et en solo?
Je prépare un nouvel album qui sortira dans un peu moins d'une année. Il sera plus énergique. J'admire beaucoup Kanye West et son dernier album, mais je ne vais pas pour autant faire un album de rap. Ce sera de la pop qui s'approchera du style de Daft Punk.
Vous tournez donc la page du chanteur romantique qui fait pleurer les filles?
Non, pas du tout. J'espère que j'arriverai encore à faire pleurer les filles!

What is your role at Art On Ice?
I am a performance with Sarah Meier, and patina while I sing. I love the elegance of skating, it's very graceful and it blends well with my music. This is also why the draft Art On Ice I like: this is not me but skating is the focus of attention.
Do you like the sport in general?
Yes, I practice much golf. I am fortunate to live near a beautiful course and I go as often as possible. Otherwise, I love football, especially English. I am fan of the team Arsenal London and my son loves Manchester United. I can tell you that the days of matches are sometimes tense in the family Keating!
What are your musical projects?
In June, I go on tour for a month with Boyzone!
Were you not angry?
We had some problems, but the water has flowed under the bridge and I am delighted to find other members. This will be a movie nostalgia.
And solo?
I am currently preparing a new album to be released in a little less than a year. It will be more energetic. I have great admiration Kanye West and his latest album, but I do not mean to make a rap album. This will be the pop style that approached Daft Punk.
So You turn the page of romantic singer that makes girls cry?
No, not at all. I hope I will arrive yet to make girls cry!
